The Mugs offense was itching to score in this one.  Leadoff Brian Pietryka scratched his way around the bases in the top of the first, scoring his 100th career run to get the Mugs on the board.  Clutch kicking Matt Frese made his season debut a memorable one, stroking a two out base kick that scored the Mugs a couple more.  But it was slugger Dave Packer who provided the winning punch, clobbering a two run homer to deep center field that stung the Burn the most. 

Next week, the Mugs will look to avenge a pair of losses from last season when they take on a familiar foe, the Belligerent Drunken Buffoons. Game time is set for 7:20 PM on Utz Field.
