Buffoons 6, Mugs 3
The Belligerent Drunken Buffoons (4-0) dropped A Bunch of Mugs and A
Pitcher (2-2) Thursday night at Utz Field. The former KLOB champs showed they were no joke in the 6 to 3 decision.
The Buffoons stumbled early, falling down 1-2-3 in the top half
of the first. Leadoff man Brian Pietryka ensured the Mugs took advantage, finding his way to third before scoring
on a clutch two out RKI single by a poised Matt Frese. Battling back and forth for the lead, the teams traded
several runs over the next few innings. Surehanded Katie Mills made several key plays in the field to hold the opposition
at bay, but the Buffoons eventually stopped fooling around and broke the game open with a big three run sixth.
The Mugs tried valiantly to return the favor, but were ultimately left with the sobering reality of their second loss.
The Mugs will look to return to their winning ways next week when they
face off against Wasted Already. Game time is set for 7:20 PM on Utz Field 1.
