A Bunch of Mugs and A Pitcher (4-1) packaged up a huge win last night, beating Kick in a Box (4-1)
by a score of 9 to 5 at Utz Field. The victory knocks the Box from the ranks
of the undefeated and all but gift wraps the Mugs hopes of securing a playoff seed.
Going in, the
Mugs knew they had something real important to take care of. Having been together
such a long long time, they were ready to lay it on the line. Well you know,
in the top of the first, the Mugs scored five runs to open it wide, letting the Box know there was something on their mind. Taking their turn in stride, two runs came in for the Box. But the Mugs weren’t gonna let them amount nothing, cause they didn’t want that sort of scoring
to mean anything. Sure handed Katie Mills knows she was a shining star, rolling
around to keep them afar. Hero Eric Mack led a potent Mug offense with something
to show it was second to none, handling the Box and impressing the fans with three easy steps.
One, they kicked on the Box. Two, they got runners on the Box. Three,
they scored runs on the Box…and that’s the way they did it! The Mugs
handled the box, they handled the box.
The Mugs will be at it again next week when they hope to kick the Donkeys’ ass. Game time is set for 6:30 on Utz Field 3.
