A Bunch of Mugs and A Pitcher (4-2) gang banged C.U.N.ex.T.hursday (4-2) Thursday
night, blanking the home team 11 to 0. The shutout was the first for the Mugs this season.
The Mugs pounded the Cooters from the start, capping an eight run scoring
barrage when speedster Katie Mills crossed the plate in the top of the first. Having snatched the dominant lead, the
Mug’s offense relaxed, giving the defense a chance to stiff the Cooters on their end as well. The defense did
not disappoint, putting out one of their best performances of the season. In fact, the lone threat the Cooters would
mount came in the bottom of the fifth when they managed to load the bases with only one out. But quick fielding Eric
Mack flipped sure handed Leanne Lauenstein the ball for the force at home, successfully drying up the Cooter’s chances.
