Pitcher Brian Pietryka was slippin’ Cider kickers up all night, striking them out several times throughout the game.  When they did manage to put the ball in play, an alert Katie Mills was there, shootin’ Cider hopes down defensively.  Offensively, the Mugs were whackin’ Cider all over the field.  Sliding under a tag at home, a fearless Robin Lien scored a run, explodin’ Cider tempers and causing speculation the ump was screwin’ Cider chances of pulling off an improbable upset.  Ironically, though, the visual Dixon’s Cider will forever be remembered for will be their catcher unloading one in their pitcher’s face.

The Canton League Playoffs are next for the Mugs.  Stay tuned as the game times are yet to be determined.
